Honeygoat GmbH operates btuwise.com from Switzerland. It has no US establishment, no US subsidiary, and no physical presence in the United States.
Nature of the content
btuwise publishes general consumer information about ductless mini-split and heat-pump systems, together with free calculators that estimate capacity, cost, running cost and financing payments. Every figure the site produces is a planning estimate for orientation.
Sizing results are based on published rule-of-thumb factors and manufacturer specifications, not on a site survey. The recognized professional standard for sizing a system is an ACCA Manual J load calculation performed for your specific building. Cost, running-cost and financing figures are estimates based on typical market ranges and the values you enter; the binding numbers are the ones in a contractor's written quote, your utility tariff and your lender's offer.
Honeygoat GmbH is not an HVAC contractor, not an installer, not a lender, not a mortgage or loan broker, and not a licensed financial or engineering adviser. The site provides information, and the decisions and the professional work remain with you and the licensed professionals you engage.
Safety notice
Mini-split work touches refrigerant circuits and mains electricity. Under 40 CFR Part 82, Subpart F, handling refrigerant in the United States requires EPA Section 608 certification; opening a charged refrigerant circuit without it is a federal violation. Pre-charged quick-connect systems are the exception a homeowner may install, because the sealed circuit is never opened. Electrical work — in particular the dedicated 208/230 V circuit most systems need — belongs to a licensed electrician and must meet the National Electrical Code and any local amendments, and permits and inspections are commonly required. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for the specific unit you buy; where anything on this site and those instructions differ, the manufacturer's instructions govern.
